Thiago Destri Cabral

Biography

Thiago Destri Cabral received a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in 2013, M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Metrology and Instrumentation) also from UFSC in 2016, and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2022. After obtaining his Ph.D. he worked as an Adjunct Professor at Santa Catarina State University (UDESC, campus Laguna) and as a Development Engineer for the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI, Portugal). He currently holds a full-time position as an Assistant Professor at Federal Technological University of Paraná (campus Medianeira). His research and interests include the development of novel optical fiber sensors, development and application of optical sensors and sensing systems, sensing and monitoring of industrial processes, sensors for structural health monitoring, experimental mechanics.
